Small Fixes

In the afternoon, I finished a series of small fixes to tumblelog that I started yesterday. The changelog for version 6.6.0 is as follows:

  • Use current_year_week in create_week_page call
  • Use escape on the href attribute in wrap_in_permalink
  • Don't ignore an empty id (tumblelog.py)
  • Make synopsis/usage show all options
  • Escape URL and tag in html_for_tag
  • Use isoformat instead of str with replace (tumblelog.py)
  • Don't accept unknown options nor abbreviated options (tumblelog.pl)
  • Use our $VERSION (tumblelog.pl)
  • Simplify clumsy code (tumblelog.pl)
  • Remove obvious comment (tumblelog.pl)
  • Fix bug in create_archive (tumblelog.pl)
  • Make get_end_of_day conform the Time::Piece documentation (tumblelog.pl)

As usual the latest version is available on GitHub.

Children of Strife: A Disappointment

In the evening I finally finished Children of Strife, Children of Time novels book 4 by Adrian Tchaikovsky. It took me quite some time to finish this book because it was, in my opinion, not good; a disappointment. I loved Children of Time; excellent. I liked Children of Ruin, and Children of Memory was confusing at times (to me) but I liked it. While I tried to like Children of Strife it's just not for me.

Skinamarink (2022)

Two children wake up in the middle of the night to find their father is missing, and all the windows and doors in their home have vanished.

In the evening Jaiden, Esme, and I watched Skinamarink. Jaiden had asked for this movie and considered it scary but too long. To me the movie was way too long and I don't even know how to rate it, so I won't.
