City of Stairs: Good

In the evening I finished City of Stairs, book one of the Divine Cities Trilogy by Robert Jackson Bennett. The main character Shara reminded me a little of the character Ana in "The Tainted Cup"/"A Drop of Corruption", both books written by the same author. Books I can highly recommend.

The Dinner (2013)

Two well-to-do couples with plenty to lose have dinner to discuss the gruesome act their teenage sons may or may not have committed together.

In the evening Esme and I watched "Het Diner" ([The Dinner)[https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2352230/]), a Dutch movie based on the book "Het Diner" by Dutch writer Herman Koch. Esme is improving her Dutch and one way she does this is by reading this book.

The movie was OK and I rate it a 6 out of 10.

Good on Paper (2021)

After years of putting her career first, a stand-up comic meets a guy who seems perfect: smart, nice, successful and possibly too good to be true.

In the evening Alice, Esme, and I watched Good on Paper. The movie was OK and I rate it a 6 out of 10.
