I was watching this amazing lightning talk by Karla Burnett and wanted to understand how
tracerouteworks in UNIX. Traceroute is a tool that shows the route of a network packet from your computer to another computer on the internet. It also tells you how long it takes for the packet to reach each stop along the way.
